L Shaped Clip?

can someone please identify and describe the purpose of the L shaped clip located on the intake side of the engine compartment near the ignitor? its a two pin L shaped connector. my customer cannot recall any colors on wiring (he couldnt describe wiring to me neither).

the reason im asking is because my friend and i did a swap for this one guy in concord and he was fiddling with the car and now the car runs like crap. i wonder if this L shaped clip he's refferring to has anything to do with this.
