No... one car is FWD the other is RWD, the LSD will knock off a few tenths at the most.

J30 LSD will fit however.

yes the hicas 240 came with a lsd and pre 95 j30 will match up and also the 300zx also matches your bolt pattern. The availability for you is much higher than it was for me. HAPPY HUNTING

I have yet to find anyone that will give a strait answer about what is needed for the J30, Z32 or JDM VLSD Swap.

No one seems to know what output flanges and rear half shafts need to be used.

look under your car if you have the 5 bolt (each bolt hole has it's own ear ) or 6 bolt ( two holes per ear ) z32 is 5 bolt (they never changed) j30 is 5 bolt pre-95. 95 and newer its 6. Same for 240 equipped lsd's

Ah thank you for that info! I have the 3-tab 6-bolt... that means i could have LSD! or a lsd swap just got a ton easier.

possibly but if you dont. You are limited to what you can buy. the newer diffs. (6 bolt) are harder and more expensive to find. To make things worse I confirmed my fears that nissan doesnt make lsd output shafts anymore (me and one other guy waited almost 2 months when finally they deliver the bad news w/refund) but if you can save you should be able to find one under 400

ok, so the pre 95 j30, the N/A z32 and s14 all have interchangeable diffs?i ask because the KAAZ website doesnt site an application for the j30, but the N/A z32 and s14 use the same diff part number...

NO. 300zx diffs do not match the bolt pattern, you will need either j30 axles or jdm s13 axles. The j30 has a final gearing a 3.9 and the 300zx and 240 both have final gears of 4.08(some older jdm s13's had 4.3). so the j30 will give you lower accel and higher topend. I'd go with the Z32 diff and j30 axles.

JDM S13 axle is different from USDM? how are they different? Are you saying pre95 J30 are using same axle as S13? So can you match up a pre95 J30 VLSD with a S13axle and install them on a S14? or Can you just switch the OEM open differential cover with the pre95 and install it on S13? (also buy longer differential carrier bolts according to another guy)

thanks

You're gonna have to do some searching about open and limited slip diffs man. I've been researching and there's plenty of good info out there.

JDM S13 Diff - requires 5-bolt axlesZ32 diff(NA only) - requires 5-bolt axles and swapping of cover plates.J30 - 3.9 final gear. 95+ will work, pre 95 needs 5-bolt axles.(never acually done this one, I think longer front bolts are needed)S14 - swapping of cover plates, longer front mounting bolts(or do some "modifications" to the stock bolts)S13 - bolts straight in

*These pertain to S13's only*
