guess what guys, i was working on my brakes today when i realized that i had a pair of front strut which happen to be KYB gr-2.

i bought my fastback about a month ago but never bother to do anything to it because the car was in really bad condition so i was about to sell it. instead i decide to put a silvia conversion, did the complete interior work, engine work, and then i guess why not do the suspension while i'm at it.

the rear has stock shock but in the front, to my surprise it had KYB shocks, not only that, the front had Michelin tires which cost about $110 each while the rear had some no name brand tires and no shock upgrade. the people who own it before me probably thought the 240 is a front wheel drive or something.

what i actually want to know is if the GR-2 are good for drifting, cuz i plan on upgrading my suspension to tien coilover all around.

I just got some GR-2's to replace the blown front struts on my car. They are basically stock replacements (at a fraction of the price). I've heard that they're a bit stiffer than stock, but honestly I can't confirm that.

I know people drift with stock 240SX's, for what that's worth.

If you're going to get some Tein coilovers in the near future, you should stick with the GR-2's for now. They're at least as good as stock, so if they ain't broke...
