So I just put on some AGX's that I bought from Nico. I'm not sure if they came with a diagram that tells you the damping rates but it wasn't sent with my struts. What do you guys have yours set on? And what do you adjust them to for drag or drift or any of the other sports you might do with them on.

What kind of springs are you running them with? I run mine on the stiffest setting at all times, but I am running them with RSR Race springs, and I read that because of the higher spring rates, the AGX's should be set on max all the time. I am actually very used to the stiffness though...just have to avoid potholes.

soft for drag (1 or 2 front 4 or 5 back) and stiff for drift (4 front, 8 back)

girrard, how long have you had them? i used to think the agx were fien until i felt them on the stiffest setting in the rear. my one concern was that the rear struts may blow out in under a year on the stiffest setting with that much of a load. im still savin for koni yellows, but id liek to hear reviews on agx anytime, lol

Got mine set on full stiff in the front and the rear too. The AGX's are paired up with Eibach Sportline springs. Everyone keeps telling me that I'll blow out the shocks but I've been riding on this setup for close to 2 years now while driving on Quebec roads, which are worse than those african dirt roads, and nothing has happened so far. Full stiff is a bit stiff though and takes some gettin used to.

I also have prokit and do 3/6 rear for daily driving. For more "spirited" driving on good roads I will go full 4/8.

And if I'm going to be going around in circles a lot I will set the left/right differently :-)

im just wondering, my springs are stiffer than the rsr. PRETTY stiff 6.2 kg/mm front. so i worry about their longevity as well as the rear struts beign unable to support the rear end etc etc

I've only been running them for about 6k or so...just throughout this summer, so I can't really give you a good longetivity report. But, I will tell you that the rears are underdampened. I would have rather had Koni yellows myself, but at the time I couldn't afford them. My plan is to one day, if I have a little extra cash layin around, and I haven't decided to go coilover, is to buy Koni Yellows for just the rear. The AGX's in the front are plenty stiff. I still really like the setup, it's perfect for how I drive my car. What springs are you running, btw?

megan racing springs. 6.2 kg/mm f, 4.5 kg/mm r. i got bored and felt like blowing stock struts, lol. now i can cut the front stuts up for koni yellows when i somehow pile enough cash. for now its goin back to stock setup. i figure ill bite my lip and go for koni yellows

Just curious, for the front struts I assume you just get a little screw driver and turn the knob on the top of the strut so dot is at the number you want?

I bought them from Nico and they didn't send the screw driver. But I got a small one that works fine.
