kyb agx strut boots??

im getting my agx's tomorrow and im wondering do i have to get "KYB" strut boots for these?? or can i just use any dust boot?? they have them for 12 a peice at tire rack. im looking for a cheap alternative. thanks

you can use any boot pretty much. you can even use your stock dust boots if they're still in decent shape. I used all my stock ones except the back left, which was torn up kinda bad.

Note sometimes the bumper thing at the top of the boot might be a little big.. I had to trim about a half an inch off of it with a knife to match the other boots. No big deal.

well I went to NAPA and got stock the stock 240sx one or whatever. They're not completely universal I guess, but its not exactly critical either: just make sure it covers the strut part completely when it's extended.

come to think of it, $12 each isnt a bad deal at all for the boots. I beleive I paid over $20 at napa for the one I got. If you need new ones ya might as well get the AGX type.
