Well I got them all in there, but both rears sound like the cap on the top is rattling, except I checked them and they're bolted on tight. I had my dad sit back there while I drove around the driveway and he said it felt like something was hitting the cap when I went over a little bump in the road. I think I tightened the one top screw on the strut as far down as it would go. Is it possible that I went too far down and the rod is banging on cap? I was thinking of just taking the cap off tomorrow and seeing what it does. Anyone else ever have this problem? Thanks.

something is most likely installed incorrectly. when i did my install, i noticed that the front right damper made a lurching and clunking sound. the best thing to do, IMO, is what i did, which was re-install the particular damper that has the problem. as for me, the spring was just barely an inch off (it was sitting where it was supposed to) hope that helps!!

yeah I forgot the metal cup and the rubber bushing the first time cause they wouldn't fit on it due to the reasons explained above. What do you mean "to include you doing the spring compression yourself" ? I didn't use a spring compressor, if thats what you mean, they are useless and time consuming. All you have to do is attach the upper mount bolts on the strut assembly to the car frame then put a jack under the strut, and jack it up until its even with the wheel assembly bolt. at that point just kick it on or guide it forcefully until it locks in place.
