I just ordered a set of AGXs and Pro-Kits from HeavyThrottle, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good website (or other resource) that details the install of these things? I've never worked on suspension before but I'm eager to get at it... a nice little step by step would be cool so I dont mess anything up too bad... Anyone know where I can find somethin like this?

This should help you out. An FSM, or at least a Chiltons or Haynes guide would probably help you too. You'll need to get torque specs. One thing...I think the Chilton's for at least the '93 240SX is wrong on the front shocks. Per the FSM, the notches on the upper spring seat should point towards the inside of the car, not away from it.

Remember to get some locking nuts to replace the ones you remove. You shouldn't re-use those.

Hey man thanks alot! That was exactly what I was looking for!

As for the FSM - I know all about the issues with Chilton's... I got sick of it and I ordered a Nissan one off ebay last week. Hopefully it'll get here so I can use it also. Thanks again for your help man, I appreciate it!

The FSM is definitely worth every penny. I just installed some GR-2's on the front of my car. Just take your time and I'm sure you'll do fine.

I also ended up getting new upper mounts from KYB, new dust boots, new nuts and bolts down at the knuckle, new nuts at the strut tower and a pair of those funky gaskets that go between the metal of the strut tower and the rubber mount. I figured I'd replace any and all wear items while I was in there, and the parts weren't really that expensive. I found that my old gaskets were dry as a bone, my dust boots were rotted to hell and most of the nuts and bolts were heavily corroded.

Edit: Weird thing is, the car is from New Jersey where they don't use corrosive road salt.

Oh yes they do...the minute a snowflake falls, NJDOT dumps that stuff all over the roads. Tons of it. Within a mile of driving in the snow, whatever vehicle you own will have a salty flocking covering its entire underside (one reason why Datsuns are pretty rare around here.) They never used to be so heavy on the salting until the '94 ice blizzard ran through. It's a real PITA, I wish they would switch to sand instead.
