so, i've read on one of the threads on here that the rear shocks (right? fronts are struts.. righT?) are not great. i dont recall exact wording of the person who said it, nor the person's name..

anyone with experience with these chime in some info?im getting a great deal on some front pair agx's new, and i thought this would be the perfect time to ask about the rears..would performance suffer for either front or rear shock/struts if i mixed/matched?

lets say.. agx fronts with koni rears or something..

im thinking of going with tein s-techs if i do get the agx fronts.. and whichever rears.

thanks in advance.. you niconauts are always helpful

Sure you can use the Koni's in just the rear if you would like. I would not reccomend mixing the AGX's with the GR-2's however. If you go adjustable go adjustable all the way around mixing brands is not that big of an issue.

Well, all depends on what you are doing.

Many guys use agx/koni combo, but on very aggressive springs, since the agx has underdampening problems in the rear (only really noticed by the anal drivers & track guys ).

And from seeing you are going w/ the s-techs. The agx front & rear will have absolutely no problem supporting that. The s-techs, if I am correct, are also referred to as the "luxury masters". Those things are almost stock spring rate.

You'll be fine w/ agx all around...

You "could" go w/ yellows in the back if you are planning on upgrading just springs later - this would be a preemptive measure.

Or you could just get the better springs now .

Again, all depends on your goal. And from what I see, you will be fine w/ agx. Yup.

i rode in a sti with s-techs on stock suspension..big difference in comfort.. but a lot more stable.id ont know how it compares to the 240sx though.

my goals are mainly DD and sometimes spirited driving, so i suppose the s-techs would fit me well thanks for the advices.
