Is there anyone running KW coilovers? I just had a set installed on my s13 and was wondering if anyone else had them on an s13 so I could get some pointers on how to set them up.I will use them for Daily driving and auto-x on the weekends.

nice! I like KW's.. my buddy has KW (I think its variant 1) on his mk 4 GTI. They have an awesome feel to them.

Although, I don't think KW's are as famous in the 240sx world. I don't know too many people running them on their 240s, but I can name like 3 of my friends that drive euro cars that have them though lol...

I would imagine that the dampening adjustment preference would be like any other damper set up: stiff for more of an aggressive feel, soft for daily comfort. It would also vary from car to car... even if its the same car... its more or less driver preference. IMO, you should try out different damper setting and choose what you think feels better. At least that's my suggestion...

I got a good deal on a set of KW variant 3s and was just trying to find someone else who has had experience with them on S13s so I could pick their brain a bit.

These things are nice!!! and have a lot of ajustability (I can adjust rebound and compression indepently).

I guess I will have to play with them for a while.

They are mostly on Euro cars, but around here I have talked to a couple of Evo guys who love theirs because of the high quality and 2 way adjustability.

This weekend its suppose to clear up a bit so I probably will try to make some adjustments then.

I was thinking about getting V3's. Hows the servicibility of the KW's? Do you have to send them back to have them rebuilt or can you just swap out the dampeners like KTS and other companies?

Please post your settings and impressions of the ride quality. Thanks!

These are very high quality coilovers. The welds look perfect and the coilover body, springs, and other hardware feels really substantial.

These coilovers are 2way adjustable and the adjustment method is simple (a 2mm allen wrench for rebound and small key for compression). You can really feel the clicks when you go through the different settings. The adjustment is not vague at all. These coliovers don't come with top hats which is kind of crazy for coilovers this expensive.

Right now I have the rebound set to 8 (out of 18) all around and compression set to 9 (out of 18) all around, and lowered the car about 1 inch.

The ride is pretty comfortable over city streets, but becomes rough when there are bumps with elevation changes. The coilovers seems to handle bumps better the faster I go over them. On the freeway the suspension handles the rough spots very well. I will post some pics soon.

Also in the S2000 word they are one of the most used coilovers on the track. I loved the S I drove with V3's I wanted a set btu got buddy club racing specs instead
