hey im looking for some coilovers and i dont want to spend a lot of money. And ive been doing my research and ive seen megan racing coilovers and KTS coilovers are both less than 1000$.They both have about the same spring rates,i plan on drifting with it on the track occasionally, but it will be driven on the street a lot.I am just asking for your personal opinions, which set is the better buy and smoother ride.Thanks.

The KTS coilovers are going to run you about 1200 shipped. The only place I've seen them available is SPLPARTS.com. From what I understand they are the best buy at that price. Megan are a good entry level coilover. I have no experience with either of them, but I would go with KTS if I were in the market.

i've had my KTS for close to 2 years i think and love em. they can be a tad harsh, but i've run over tons of potholes and rough road and the dampers havn't blown yet. Highly reccomended. plus SPL parts service is top notch. I stripped a mounting stud off one of the front camber plates, they 2nd day air shipped me a new one for free so I could have my car ready for the weekend. little things like that go a long way.

Like previously stated the KTS will run you about $1200 shipped. Order from SPL, they are very good people.

You an also pick up the Megans for about $900 shipped.

Intense Power have both Megan's and they also carry K-Sports. There are a lot of mixed reviews over K-sports but I have them and they are firm but forgiving on most roads and a great entry level coilover depending on what your intentions are for the car. These by the way are $745 shipped! They will also swap springs for you. K-Sport spring RatesS13 is 7/5kgS14 is 8/6kg

Intense power will mix and match any combo of kg/rate you want before they ship them to you so it's worth looking into.

I doub't you can go wrong with anything from JIC unless the spring rates are insane

KTS shocks are rebuildable and if they need to be rebuilt you can get an entire new shock set for $500 from splparts.com with no downtime. You can also change the spring-rates anytime you want. All you have to do is make a call or order online to Eibach and you can have softer spring-rates. That sounds like a great deal to me, not to mention I've heard nothing but praise from the tech support over at splparts. You do what you want to, it's your money and we can only help you choose, not persuade you. One person's preference maybe and is most likely going to be different from anothers. Good luck on your purchase.
