Okay, I was planning on getting the KTS coilovers from SPL, but a couple of my friends are suggesting Koni Yellows with something like 450/400 eibach race springs with Ground Control sleeves. The KTS coilovers are 448/336. I'm going to be doing road racing maybe once a month and a lot of canyon driving with the occasional parking lot drift. Comfort is of little concer to me and they are both priced similarly, so it's not a big deal. Koni also has an enticing warranty. My question is which would be better for me? I was really leaning toward the KTS, but after talking with a few of my friends, I would like some other opinions.

The KTS coils aret rue coilovers while the Ground Control/Koni isnt. I dont think they would have the adjustability of the KTS.I would go with the KTS. You can always get stiffer springs if you need to.

you can get the koni yellows, and send them off to have them modified so that theyre both bump and rebound adjustable, get some adjustable camber plates, and the ground control coilovers if youre happy with the spring rates, and then theyre pretty much the same as true coilovers.

and after all that you have exceeded the price of the KTS units, but im not knocking the konis, as i have them myself, and couldnt be happier with them. and they seem to work pretty well with my setup.

Actually, your stock suspension is a "true coilover", so a GC/Koni setup is also a true coilover. The GC/Koni setup is probably the most flexible setup you can buy.

I currently have Koni's and RSR Springs. I think I'm going to go to move to GCs with a 400fr/400rr setup

depends on your budget i guess, but im thinking that you would probably be happier with the kts setup, thats just a hunch though, btu if you do gowith the spring/shock combo, i would definately go with the konis, and some sort of pretty aggressive spring. you can email me if you have any other questions about koni's etc, but i have not driven on the kts coilovers, so i cant help much there.

Listen to what these guys say. I have no experience with either setup.
