Is this a good setup to get?, I read that it isnt that good to put springs on stock stuts a couple minutes ago in general chat. So would this be a good setup I wont have the money for coilovers anytime soon. So I found this

Yes, AGX's with S.Techs is an excellent setup for a street car. A strut/spring combo will never be as good as a nice set of coilovers (less adjustable) but they're more comfortable then most coilovers and they give you a nice low look (although not as low as coilovers). You should be able to get a nice setup off ebay for $500.

That being said, if you think you're gonna want coilovers in the near future (or if you plan on tracking the car) I'd hold off and save a bit more. For another $300-$400 you can get a nice set of fully adjustable coilovers and have a much better setup then you ever could with springs/struts.

Alright thanks bro, and thanks again your almost the only one that replies to my posts Well when it comes to coilovers I waned to save and get the Tein Super drifts, I plan on drifting here sometime in the future. But I've found cheaper coils but idk what would be a good set. But I guess I'll have to do some research

I have KYB adjustables w/ S-Techs. They are a complete waste of time a money if you are wanting a low car. Mine have held up excellently to about 5 years of abuse and they're still going strong. But they're never gonna get you low.

If low is what you want, go with coilovers like PBM, Stance, Megan, yada yada yada... There's quite a few setups that are good and still cheaper than Tein stuff...

No problem man. Assuming your wheel/tire setup still has it's original diameter, the AGX/S-tech combo will leave you with about 3 fingers width of wheel gap... I guess that's ~3 inches of gap.

It has become completely unacceptable to me. I'm not advocating extremely slammed rides, but I hate wheel gap with a passion now. I want some Stance LX+ coilovers so damned bad right now.

Well I mean I hate wheel gap too, but three fingers wouldn't be to bad till I can afford coils, I found a pair actually, Tanabe Pro S-OC Type 2's for around $1,000.

Do yourself a favor: don't waste money/effort on parts that you don't intend to keep. Just run stock until you can afford what you really want.

Those Tanabe's are a nice coilover. A tad stiffer than my Teins, keeping in mind I also am not a fan of slamming cars.

I have gone through multiple sets of springs and shocks on my hatch, and I say this with absolute certainty: I will never buy lowering springs and shox again. If even a generic no name over/under damped set of cheap coils is available, I would prefer that. Also, check Ebay once in a while. I picked up my Teins for just over $400 after shipping.

I'm not into slamming either. I just don't like wheel gap. The coils I'm most fixated on right now are the Stance LX+. Typical Stance low goodness, but with a softer/more luxurious ride quality. Sounds perfect for a DD...
