Did a search, and doesn't look like I'm the first, but Koyo seems to think I am. My bottom two mounts were off by a bit less than 1/2 and inch, but its enough to make it not fit. It's getting sent back today.I know it cant be my car because the stocker out of another 240 fit in fine.

Anyone else with experience fitting a Koyo into their S13 please respond.

I was at phase2 one day and the same thing happened.

It turns out that the radiator mount were bent, meaning the car has been in a prior accident but the stocker fits just fine...

maybe that's your porblem

I know the car had not been in an accident. After talking to both the distributor and Koyo, they seem to not beleive me for what ever reason. I compared the measurments to theirs, and even took pictures to show where the mounts were off, which they didn't want to see.

UPS is picking it up on Monday to return it. I'm sure they will notice the mounts are off.

But in the mean time, my car is sitting still due to the stock radiator being cracked, and all arround crap after 15 years on the road. What other performance radiators are there for the S13, besides getting a custom made racing one?

well, I know my frame is A-ok. here are some of the pics I took.

Frame

When its 'in' it sits to far to the right which makes it fit like this

even if I had damage, it couldnt be this off and have the stocker fittop mounts

close up

and just to show its in the bottom mounts with the rubber bushing there is no room for movement.

I just installed a Koyo in mine and it was fine, but it definitely look like you got a problem there.

What the heck is that fan in front of the radiator?

No, I think that goes on the backside of the radiator. That looks like a pusher.

thats the old ac fan. Since my koyo wouldn't get shiped out to be returned untill tues, I pulled out the drill and made new mounts. The rad sits about an inch further to the passenger side than it should, but its in.

Bad part now is that the spark plugs have oil on them. The engine only has 350 miles since the re-build.

my money is on a bent frame

stocker is different size as the koyo. like I said, same thing happened at phase2, they tried 2 koyo before assuming the frame was bent.... and it was

that's why koyo didn't believe you.... they probably come from the same mold, unless it has bubble or cracks, it's likely impossible to have a bent radiator
