That side is where the drain plug is located. Make sure it hasn't worked itself loose. Crank the car, pop the hood, and then watch to see where it's leaking. Then go from there.

i looked at it and i figured out that it was the nipple that is leaking, does anyone know where i can find one, and is it hard to change?

yea, but i finally took out the radiator today and found out it was not the nipple, it was actually the weld on the left side next to the lower radiator hose, so i need to get it rewelded, has anyone else had this problem?

That sucks. I haven't, but my koyo is only ~4 months/2k miles old too. Post some pics to show us where the weld failed so the rest of us have a visual reference remember to keep an eye on it.

Oh this is not good news to start hearing people having the same problem. I noticed I was leaking coolant right around the bottom right next to the drain plug. I thought maybe that was what was leaking but found it was near the welds like this other guy. It doesn't leak profusely, just drips from time to time.

I HAD THIS EXACT PROBLEM. I dont know how it got there, it was a tiny whole inside a deep dent. It wasnt my plug.

I lost faith in koyo after that happened, I know us a Visteon. JB weld couldnt contain the leaking.

i replaced the koyo before I took it to a radiator shop, a tack weld might have fixed it.

good luck!

Koyo... is still the best.

but there are a lot of highly respectable companies that deserve respect.

C&R (by visteon) and Griffin radiators. made in the USA and race tested for decades.

Koyo is safe, and has been safe forever. Some of these occurances are just that, occurances (as could be had with any product)

these stories only happen because so many people use koyo. out of the masses 2 or 3 will have problems.

mine look damaged because someone slammed it against the core support while installing it. that gash turned into a leak.

but I am excited to start using my C&R. They are race tested and its nice to use something outside of the norm
