ok now i have a question could i still use the type x speed sensor on my s13? i ask this because it looks more like an s14 sensor than the s13 speed sensor! so do i use the a usdm s13 speed sensor or the type x one? also if its the s14 sensor in the transmission will a regular s13 speed sensor still bolt in the transmission? and i did search thanks!

S13 speed sensor is metal. S14 is plastic. Use the s13 vss for your s13.They all bolt in the same. I got 1 for sale!

no i know that...i have an s13 speed sensor...but see my swap is the type x and they use some s14 sensors so thats why i asked! so at least i know now that my stock s13 speed sensor will bolt on! i was just hoping the one thats already in the transmission would work fine still because its an s13 motor!

Well I guess the only way to find out is to try it out! Dont worry it wont hurt to try it out. I think it depends on the gauge clustor.

Kouki S13's had S14 speed sensors because the gauge cluster used an S14 signal. Unless you are using a Kouki S13 gauge cluster, use the S13 VSS. It will give the right signal to the S13 gauge cluster.
