I've seen a lot of cars online with "kouki" setups- is this just the S14b look, or is it different? It looks like the back lights have sorta lines going horizontally across them, but I cant pick out all the real differences (if there are any). Also is the cost to change to kouki from the S14 (1995) similar (or the same) as just getting the USDM/JDM S14b panels?

***

also I was wondering- can you install either the kouki or s14b (sorry if they're the same) headlights just by themselves? Like, I LOVE the shark lights, but $1500 for a whole kit is a bit much.... or do you have to have the hood to be able to put in the new lights? Can I do it peice by peice?

kouki=1997-1998conversion to S15 front is like 4grand, kouki conversion is cheaper, but not by much...you still have to replace pretty much the whole front I believe(hood, fenders, bumper, etc.)

I think they make a spoiler for the front of the s14. It cuts the top of the light to give it a s14b look. It will be a lot cheaper than the conversion, and will probably eliminate the slight understeer in high speed cornering. I'm sorry I can't provide any links. I've only seen it on a couple of cars.

i wish i could get in to my email cause i was planning on buying an s14 and doing the kouki front end and i have a couple emails to a guy that can get all the parts for like $1500.i found him on 240sx.org classifieds and talked to him about it.he can also take out parts and sell the rest cheaper (for example he was gonna keep the front bumper and i was gonna go ahead and put a cwest one on, so he said he would leave out the front bumper and it would cost less) .

send me an email and as soon as i call up the computer company and figure out how to get in ill give you his email.

Yeeea.... Daunt has the kit for $1,500. I figured thats what the going price was.

what the hell do headlights have to do with cornering?

Sorry guys- thanks for the info, but is there anyone else? I'm wondering - again - if it is possible to switch over to the Kouki headlights without messing with any of the other stuff that comes in the full Kouki kit. Daunt? Do you know???

As I said. It is a front SPOILER. (you know, downforce) Which covers the headlights to look like a s14b, the slant look.

sure once you get up to 300mph that eyebrow spoiler (whatever) will make a world of difference in downforce:rolleyes and yes max downforce in the front of the car would make less understeer but of course the eyelid dealy is purely cosmetic.

i don't know exactly what kouki means ....but i wanna find out. it is used to describe the last trim in each chasis, seems like. there is also a kouki S13 which would be the 95+ 180sx. there is also zenki and something else can't remember.......anyone know what it transulates to?
