Why? I agree that A LOT of satin/flat black car look terrible, but that is because they are terrible jobs. Ones that are done right look really good, though.

Are you keeping that color for your bay? If so, I wouldn't go with blue.... you'de give everyone a headache when you pop the hood.

Yeah i was considering doing it that way w/ orange metal flakes and a non gloss clear finish....

Everything with wheels seems to be going matte now... it so JDM

I really think that to match the engine bay you will have to paint the car that color. If you paint the car any other color it isn't going to look right when you pop the hood. If it were me, I would paint the bay black or color match it to whatever color you want to paint the car. I painted my car meteor gray metallic. I got lucky I have the black factory coated engine compartment.

Yeah i was hoping to escape that but it seams that's really whats going to need to happen for it to not look like a ghetto garage build.

Agreed it is pretty sexy. I think i might try a tint of gun metal and have my kouki look like an angry bullet!

The cars soon to be a five lug and the sr's soon to be mated w/ a ichiba mani + gt2871r .64. Sooo the tires aren't too important at the moment.
