I did a search and couldn't find anything so please help if you have seen this before. My low beam (projectors) on my kouki are acting up. It started about 2 months ago when I noticed the left one was out. A few weeks later, I noticed it was back on. Then it went back out. Two nights ago, I got in the car and neither one came on. I stopped at a gas station and after a little percusive maintenance (I popped the hood and smacked it with my palm ) the right one came back on, but no such luck with the left.

It seems to me like if it were the bulbs they would not be going off/on, they would just burn out and not come on again. This is the first time I've had to work on them though so I don't know what it's like when they go bad. Someone please just let me know if it's the bulbs or an electrical issue, and if it is an electrical issue whether or not it is an easy fix. On another note, the speedometer is sticking until I reach about 30 mph. Possibly related? Thanks

I had a similar problem. I would turn the lights on but the drivers side wouldnt come on til about ten seconds later. It did that for a month. Finally it didnt come on at all. I inspected the bulb(if its bad the filament will be broken), cleaned the connectors, and put some contact grease on them and its worked fine ever since........ the speedometer stinking is not a related problem.

Contact grease is just a grease/jelly that aids in conductivity if I remember right. A hobby store may have it or radio shack may have it.

So, did you find anything to fix? I always have to slam my hood to get it to close... Just two nights ago, the low beams would not turn on any more. All other lights work correctly, but low beams are just not on anymore... Please write me! I have a new thread under 240 general... Thanks.
