kouki 5 speed owners... I NEED YOUR HELP!!

ok so i posted a topic a while back about my tachometer being nuts. it wasnt working correctly. heres the link zerothread?id=394484 anyways i went to the junk yard today and there isnt much in the nissan department but i picked up a tach out of a 96 maxima that looked similar. i ended up soldering in the motor from the maxima to my 240 tach. i needed to remove the needle to do this...

now i was hoping that someone could go drive there car and in like 3rd or 4th gear go a certain mph and tell me what rpm its at. maybe a few times in two or so gears. and if your daring enough run it on rev limiter for a few seconds and tell me what thats at exactly.

Wouldn't a GPS help you? I found out my Zenki's speedometer was off by 4mph by the use of a GPS. My Kouki is dead on.

thats exactly what i need. i dont need to know the actual speed. that varies by tire size.

i'm not gonna bounce off the rev limiter as my tune doesn't have one lol

but i remember doing about 80mph exactly at around 3400 or 3500 rpms in 5th. RPM drop between gears is 500 rpms.

ya i could see why you wouldnt want to bounce it off the limiter lol. my car loves the limiter. if i remember right its at 6800. but im not positive. and also i think that 4th gear at 3000 exactly is 40mph. think you could try that one for me? thanks man

I think that 3,000 rpm in 5th is 65 also if that helps any. Are you adjusting your speedo? I think theres a small adjustment screw on the back of the speedo that you twist to adjust your speedo for taller wheels/tires/gear ratios.

yeah once i get my car goin I'll get back to you..my SSAC mani cracked and the new mani place the turbo a bit differently so it's been nothing but cuttin, grinding, welding and all that fun custom shiz.

no im adjusting my tach cause i had to remove the needle to solder in the new motor.. but ill try that and see how close i am. by the way im SO glad you got rid of your HD lip. and got your new one painted. it looks so much better. your car looks sick!

i canned that shiz a long time ago, it only took me a week to realize i effed my car up. I had that greddy lip on it for a while but i busted that off through the canyons =/ so i'm back where i started lol

I thought i was gonna get my car done this weekend but UPS fuccked up

what do you mean done. what are you doin to it? so how much psi are you running. i saw your running a blow through z32 maf i was going to do that too. also what size injectors do you have? have you gotten it dynoed?
