Would any of you guys spend 500 bucks on kouki 180sx taillights for your USDM s13's?

I think the USDM S13's taillights are too ugly to even be allowed to slap on a car. What in the hell were they thinking?!

Yup those tails are the originals meaning after it was discontinued in the US, they changed them in Japan since the body was still popular.

Oh yeah...to ur question...I payed $460 from http://www.nismoparts.com

But plus shipping, it came to a little over $500.

I didn't trust ebay cuz sometimes they don't sell ALL the parts needed. And if some of you did recieve all the parts, ur one of the lucky few.

BTW they retail for $600 + shipping.

I've thought about getting those taillights.... Not enough money though. I would rather put that money into suspension or my engine.... Oh well eventually maybe!

Maybe when I finally get an S13, I'll spend that 500 bucks on a new exhaust pipe, getting ready for a swap, then the other 500 bucks on the taillights. I don't think I'm going to be drifting pretty soon b/c I'm buying this car out of my own budget! And I don't have a car, so this is going to be my only daily driver. (The camry I have listed in my profile is my mom's.) But yeah, my budget sucks major balls. I scrape **** off a dumpster at Waffle House, plus many other things. But man, what is up with this 240sx market? S13's were only worth 1-1.5k last year! And now those with bad mileages (170k+, even above 200k) are selling for 3-4k!

gosh i've wanted those lights for the longest time....but i would rather spend that 500 on engine or suspension mods.

They are sexy, but I have other things I'd rather do.....finish my suspension, get my SR, and redo the body, then maybe tails if I have some money to waste.

500 bucks would by me lots of stuff...strut bars, nismo under brace, new #@%$ing battery!!!!

I can't justify spending that much on kouki 180sx tails.

Come to think of it, my last set of tails was free...so I really can't justify spending ANYTHING on tail lights.

Yeah if these taillights weren't so ugly, I wouldn't be so annoyed by them. But then again, these lights make the car look cheap, which is probably a good thing by keeping people oblivious to the 240 from stealing anything from the car.

I don't see any problem with them...to tell you the truth, sometimes I like my "cheap tailights" better than kouki tails.

:rockon werd. 500 is a lot of money.....and for tail lights? maybe if my car is perfect mechanically but until then, it's at the bottom of my list :P

Only reason y i got em was because where i was .. nothing really existed in terms of racing, drifting, autoX... etc.. So i got em so look different.. actually come to think of it, i was the only 240 in that town. Now I'm visiting and 2 more have popped up.

I know everybody is entitle to his/her ownopinion but if u really like the lights chris just get them. Screw what other people opinions(mostly useless anyway) ^_^. Dude, I can show you how to drift in my car hahaha. Just don't hit anything. I hit a lot of stuffs for both of us already.

haha! good luck with that guys... I work at Nissan and cost price for the complete light kit (what the dealer pays) is $360! just a little FYI before you send someone $200 for these lights;)

and yes, Nissan list price is $600...
