a while back when my friend first bought his 240 we were looking for wheels on tirerack's website and saw the kosei k-1 wheels.

now that i have my own 1993 240 i look at the site and no k-1's, whats up with that? did they stop making the bolt pattern for our cars or what? i really like these wheels and the price is right too. hopefully u can answer my question.

i was lookin for a 17" with a 7 or 8" width and correct offset. do you kno if these wheels can clear the 300zx brake swap? thanks in advance.

A-HA!!! finally found some relevant information and you have just made a sale.

I was so crushed when i found out from one of your sales reps that they were discontinued in whatever sizes and offsets for our cars. but now instead of gettin the 5zigen wheels i'm switching back to the K-1's.

However in that thread, they only mentioned 16in sizes. I'm also considering 17in with a 7.5 front and 8.5 rear widths. also how much does a 17in weight? from just looking at the stock wheels and fenders i can't really tell how much of an offset i should get for the K-1's. can you give me a recommendation for a good offset to sit the wheels flush or just a lil inside the fenders. This will be a daily driver/drifter car, so can't have crazy camber to make them fit when i lower it. and lastly the price for a 16in with machine work is $149. how about for a 17?

ps. do you kno if these wheels 16 or 17 with a correct offset will clear the 300zx brake upgrades?

Grant - thank you very much for the info.

I just checked with the warehouse and nothing left in the 17' fitments, only 16" blanks left. The 17" would have been a 17x7.5 ET30. There was no option in a wider 4-114 blank.

what tires would you recomend for street/track use on the k1s? I was looking at Falken Azeins but they seem to recomend a 225 for 7.5 rims and Falken only lists a 215 in 16".

I need a good rim and tire combo for street and track use that will1. clear tein HEs2. clear q45/z32 30mm brakes3. not cost me too much

i was looking at the 16x7.5" k1s.1i was looking at the 16" instead of the 17" to save weight and save on the cost of tires.will there be a new shipment of 17" blanks?

We have not done any test fits with coilovers or larger brake systems on these vehicles so I can not tell you what setup will work if the car is modified like that. I can tell you what offests we have available:

16X7.5 BLANK ET12 16X7.5 BLANK ET22 16X7.5 BLANK ET32 16X7.5 BLANK ET43 16X8.5 BLANK ET17 16X8.5 BLANK ET27 16X8.5 BLANK ET37 You will have to check you setup to see what offset will work based on how you have modified the brakes and suspension. In the 225/50-16 245/45-16 tire sizes I'd look at Yokohama AVS Sports, Bridgestone SO-3 Pole Positions, or Pirelli P Zero Nero.

sorry to bring up an old subject but got a few questions.

i just bought a pair of front 1992 NA 300zx calipers and planning to swap those onto my car with drilled rotors. now i kno you've said it befor that you guys don't do test fits with coilovers and brake swaps/kits. and you've also said that since these wheels are "custom" in specific offsets and bolt patterns that you do not take returns. so my question is, is there anyway for me to find out 3-dimensional specs of this wheel in the size/offsets that i want, so i can find out if they will fit without actually buying them and left with a great wheel that does nothing? or is there anyway i can give you specs on the brakes so you can find out if they fit?i kno i'm being a pain but everyone knows that wheels are a very important part of performance/looks for a car and you have to be very careful in choosing a correct one. and also i'm sure that if i bought them and they don't fit i can sell them very quickly but that would just be a hassle.

hopefully we can work something out thanks
