A few weeks ago I picked up a set of Konig Villains from the junkyard. They were on an S13 when I got there. They were about to close, so I put a deposit on them so I could pick them up the next day. They had them off when I got back, so I never thought to make sure I had EVERYTHING that goes with them.

Well now they're on my car and they shimmy. They were balanced before they were put on, so that shouldn't be an issue. I'm left trying to figure out whether its:
  • The lug nuts I bought for them. They're "tuner lugs" from Pep Boys and the quality seems less-than-stellar.
  • Missing hub rings. Since I wasn't there when they were taken off the other 240, I don't even know if they had them. Nor am I completely certain that 240s want hub-centric rims.
  • My suspension. I know I have bad tension control arm bushings and at least one somewhat wiggly tie rod end.
  • Some weird offset problem. I have no idea what the offset on these are. I just know they're 15x6.5.
  • A combination of these.

Also, does anyone know if/where you can get new center caps for these rims? I'm missing one.

Make sure you have the hub ring to center the wheel on the hub. If you have them, then make sure the wheel is not bent.

The offset is probly +40. Did you torque your lug nuts or throw them on with an air wrench?

I don't have hub center rings and the tire shop air wrenched them (though they don't seem to run their wrenches at full pressure).

get the hub rings, and make sure the lugs they're using have the correct taper for the wheel. most of the vibration is probably due to the wheel not being centereD(lack of the hub ring)

also, if you have a wiggly tie rod, its gonna vibrate, ditto for the T/C rod. get those fixed. Each things gets fixed, the vibrations will get better with each one...

Where would I get the hub rings? I don't think I've ever seen any online, though until now I haven't been looking for them.As to suspensions bits, I plan on replacing everything that wears in the front. Maybe the rear too.

I would go to a local tire/wheel shop and get the rings. Might just order them online as well.
