Though I'm not a fan of Konig's in general, I found a set of wheels on a car that someone was selling that was willing to trade for my base 4-lug alloy Kouki wheels (AKA JDM Type-X wheels). There would be no cash involved, just a straight trade.

They are 17" with 225 width tires, leading me to believe that they are either 7.5 or 8" wide. They are not super flush, but I don't have the money to spend on those types of wheels anyway. Though there are other 5-lug wheels I like (OEM R33 GTR wheels), I can't afford 5-lug now, and I don't have the time to re-drill all my brake parts, then buy new tires. Tires alone for the R33's are expensive.

Check out the pictures:

I actually like them, and I didn't know they were Konig's until very recently. They almost look like CCW's or Work VS-XX's. (That's my opinion). I was thinking of getting them, then stripping them down to base metal and clear-coating, or even going with polished lip and white, or off-white center.

What do you think about them? Any experience with them?

i might be trading on Wednesday so any input BEFORE Wednesday would be super helpful.

As someone who used to jump on just about every "great wheel deal" some dangled in front of him, I'll say you should pass on this. It is better to roll stock and save up for what you really want than "take advantage" of some deal someone offered you on wheels that fit like crap.

When you roll stock, ppl just think you're saving money to buy some good wheels. When you roll wheels with bad fitment, ppl think you don't know what you're doing with your car and label you a ricer.

Be vigilant! You want something 17x9+20 or better.

I really don't need a 17 x 9 wheel. That's a little overkill, and besides, tires will cost a bundle...

There are no good wheels until I go 5-lug, but even then, no one sells wheels with good tires.

You really think they look that bad?

My choice of wheels:

- R33 GTR's- R32 GTR- FN01RC- MG Weapons

Al are 5-lug and ridiculously expensive...

Okay, here's a breakdown. Say it's $100/wheel, then 5-lug and tires...

(4)($100)+($350)+(4)($100) = $1150...

And that's without mounting/balancing/shipping...

Ummm.... Work? SSR?

There are many other inexpensive 4 lug wheels with good fitment that would be tons better than those Konigs. And If 17x9 is overkill to you, then you have absolutely no reason to go 5 lug. If thats that case, you may as well settle for some 16x8+0 XXR's...

As far as tires being too pricey... ever heard of Federal? Or tire stretching, for that matter?

uhm i think i would trade stockers for those. **** you can get stocker 4luggers for like $200. Why not. Put these up for sale or paint the centers and run spacers.

meh what ever tho. i don't care your car, do what makes you happy.

Not a fan of Sportmax. So what if you stretch a tire, you can only stretch it so far.

Anyways, I'll wait...
