after countless hours of research and shopping for a wheel tire setup that actually fits my car, looks sickly good, is lightweight, and doesnt break the bank, i've done it. I bought some Konig Holes wheels in graphite/machined lip wearing some 225/50/16" Sumitomo HTR+. I'm so impressed at the improvements in every aspect of driving. Ride comfort and noise have actually improved, the amount of grip is just sick compared to my stock 195s that said Big O on the side. Steering precision blows away the stock wheels. I'm loving this setup. I'm gonna try to get some pics of the car up. The car is the stock grey color, and it almost matches the wheel color if you look dead on. If you look from the front or the back and only catch the face of the rims, they look shiny machined silver, these have got to be the coolest rims i've ever seen. i love these wheels! I never thought i could feel this way about tires and wheels. Just for kicks tonight i got her up to about 75mph and just stomped the brakes as hard as i could in a straight line, and it was perfectly controlled without a bit of skidding. The old stuff locked up all the time.
The fit is great, the wheelwells are filled in nicely with the slightly larger diameter tire. its got a real agressive look to it. I just need turbo power to back it up now.
You can see/get the Konig Holes at
http://www.tires.com, in the 16x7 4x114.3 size they come out to 150 something a wheel, i paid 740 for the set mounted, balanced, locking lug nutted, the works. And the tires came in at 355 from Tirerack, those guys shipped them out real fast. Grant, thanks for recommending the Sumitomo HTRs, awesome tire and a great price. I wish you guys had the Konig wheels so i could get it all from the 'rack.
