Hello,

I just got my Koni yellows installed on my 96 S14. They installed the rears at a mid setting, and I desperately need to turn them down to full soft. Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust them without completely dismantling the struts and springs from the car and requiring a spring compressor, alignment, etc? The shop wants to charge the full install rate again to adjust (3.5 hrs plus alignment). Thanks for any info you can provide!

That was the downside to having konis in the back. You do have to pull em all apart to do the job. You can however, for the cost of 3.5hrs+ go to sears and get a spring compressor and do the job yourself. it's actually not all that hard.

Thanks for the feedback! The shop is going to redo the rear for free, supposedly. If not I will have to go with the option you mentioned involving a trip to Sears!

For even less you can go to Auto Zone and rent the spring compressor and do it yourself. You pay for the tool upfront but get a full refund when you take it back to them.
