I plan on getting some used Koni yellows, and i was wondering what spring would go best with it.

konis are probably good with like an rs*r race, if you dont mind stiff

not sure about coilover springs for regular struts, probably wont be anything because we can actually get real coilovers instead

well, im gonna just get the Koni's since it is only 150.00 and i think i found some coilover sleeves from ground control, if not im gonna either go with Sportlines, Tein S.Tech, RS*R, Tanabe. anyone got some pictures of either of those springs on their car?

I talked to a dealer that sold Ground Control sleeves, and he said the 240SX models were poorly designed, so he said he would never sell them to anyone again. And i think im gonna go with the Eibach Pro-Kit for now, because im buying them from a friend and he'll give me the front struts with it. Because im buying the Koni's from someone ands i don't think it comes with all the necessary supplys to install it.

you will soon find that the pro-kit will be the weakest point in your suspension, and it will be the first thing that you will replace, thats why im selling mine.

If you buy konis new they come with everything you need to install them.

my comment about the sportlines before, the same applies to pro kits

with either one your car will be lower yes, but will handle and everything identical to stock, no increase in spring rate whatsoever

I believe Ground Control sleeve kits use Eibach springs. Maybe thats why the guy wouldnt recommend them. I'm learning that spring rate is more important than the drop.

Here's a pic of my car with RS*R Race Springs.

Note the clearance underneath (not much!). Speed bumps are the bane of my existence.

lol, correct me if i'm wrong. The dust boots are the two little rubber things that are for the front inserts, where can i get a new pair? If so the front struts were installed wrong on the car before. They never inserted them into the old housing. I don't know how they managed to install them.

dust boots are for the front and the rear, it looks like you have the top parts of them on all of yours, KYB sells them for pretty cheap i think, they might work, and the nissan stock ones do, but they are ridiculously expensive.

Im not even runing dust boots, and have been that way for 3 years and its ok, but you really should have them.

yeah im curious on how they installed them..

pssst...

<I have some new kyb dust boots, front mounts, and whiteline springs... you know you want them!!!>

I know, I know... shameful. To add something technical, I'll say that dust boots are very important. I know a guy that had one of his brand new expensive struts destroyed because he ran over something, it popped up in his fenderwell and scratched the piston really bad.

Kind of a freak accident, but it could happen.
