Im having trouble tracing out where a draw is, its big enough to drain out a battery within a day or two.

Maybe any known draws with swaps?

1991 240sxrb25detharness done professionally

THings i have that i know draw:buddy club condensor kitgreddy a/f data link unit

Ive had the BCC for a couple years, its only a LED that stays on, even had it on a car for about a month without the car getting started and fired up

No radio installed3 other gauges that read no power when key is off

Any help?Places to look?

Thanks

heres a good way to find ut whats causing your draw...get a second person for this, disconnnect your neg batt lead from the battery and put a volt meter inline with the batt and the neg battery terminal.. put it on volts and check yuor voltage drop....should be less than .5 a volt...if its not which it prob isnt considering the battery dies withi one day..here is where youll need a second person. have him watch the volt meter while you pull each fuse individually. tell him when you have each fuse pulled to read out the voltage readout on the volt meter...you can find the voltage drop retty easy this way, when you find the major draw your volt meter should drop considerably...note: it could also be more than one source...

similarly you can also use a simple test light inline between the terminal and the battery. If you have a draw the light will be on, if you see the light change or turn off as you pull a fuse you can pin point what you need to look into.

I generally agree with the procedure, but I think you're confusing volts for amperage S14-NEO.

Connect the multi-meter between the neg battery and ground. Set it to read mA DC. It will show a current value that is drawing off of the battery. Start pulling fuses from the main block until the amp draw goes away. There shouldn't be any draw in the electrical system. If you have pulled all of the fuses and still don't find anything that stops the draw. It is likely grounding in either the starter or alternator.

question is the battery relocated to the trunk? if so it will draw just by being back there...i personally disconnect my battery if i know i wont be driving the car for more than aday.

Maybe you should check for an amp draw too. I left mine connected in the trunk all winter and it almost turned the motor over after sitting for 6 months.

Yeah, your battery shouldn't draw when the car is off no matter where it is.

What your probably thinking of, is that it will take more amperage to START your car when your battery is in the back.

well i traced it out to the two relays by the ecu always being on

0.05 draw with them unplugged0.42 with them plugged innow it holds charge overnight (when unplugged) !

Way to track it down!!

It sounds like either one of those relays is stuck closed so the ECU or IGN is seeing power alllllll the time.

Either that or a wiring problem from relays to ground.

BTW, does your car run?

Im not sure what you meant? Like buying a new one? I think they are good, i talked to the people that did my harness and they said they have something messed up and know what it is, this goes back to my fuel pump not turning on( I had to cut the fuel relay wire and ground it out to chassis and then pull the fuel pump relay and put a jumper in to get the fuel pump to run)

And yeah it runs! Ive already put like 100 miles on the swap, but had this drain problem the whole time, its hella fun, and im scheluded for a nistune in 2 weeks, going to be put up for 12-14psi, and get all the bugs fixed!

and yes the guys that did the harness told me to bring my car in (20miles away) and they would pull it and fix it up all nice
