We were at Microcenter in Brentwood MO.

My roommate was the last one out of the store. He got into the back of a green Deville instead of my green Seville. He sat himself down and a small group of people standing nearby, one woman and a few black guys, pushed the door shut on his leg, grabbed and pulled him out, and threw him up against another car because they thought he was stealing a Toshiba laptop sitting in their back seat. I got out and said "HEY WHATS GOING ON" and they just looked back at me and didn't say anything. I then said "HE GOT IN THE WRONG CADILLAC".

They let him go when they looked over and saw how similar my car looked. He has a scratch on his face, a bruised leg, and needs a new set of eyeglass lenses. I've been laughing my a** off all night.

They overreacted like a bunch of angry idiots, but even though it was nighttime he also should have known which car was mine. He has a frustrating habit of never paying attention to anything in life and completely ignoring details. My back seat has a pile of junk in it from the interior work I've been doing. You can barely get inside without sitting on screws, plastic bags, and wires.

At least he handled it well by not escalating.

HA!

Epic. Maybe next time he'll pay more attention.

Yeah - I can see how fortunate his assailants were that he didn't.

LOL

People who don't pay attention to their environment irritate me.

The three of us were eating dinner after the incident and he was like "Well, I'm glad they had me pinned or I'd have had to use my box cutter in my pocket."

I was like... "RIGHT... SURE" and reminded him that he was technically the initiator and his a** would have been tossed in jail (after leaving the hospital with a broken face). This sheltered ignorant kid is learning everything the hard way.

Great story, Jesda. Did you remind the group of black guys the consequences of assault? You don't just throw people around.

In this case, the only consequence of assault would have been felt by me. I wasn't going to stick around and offer a lecture.

hahah! That's a great story. Lock your cars I guess...

Still, yeah, the guy would have been approached by me. I don't know if I would have started bashing skulls immediately, but I'd be all over the person in my back seat (granted, getting into my back seat from outside is quite the project, being as my cars are both 2 door coupes).

lol...I definitely wouldn't say the "assailants" were in the wrong...I've done this before when I was a kid...in the height of Caravan popularity.

when I hopped in the van I was talking about something not paying attention, turn around and there's about 4 black kids looking at me like I was crazy.

I said something stupid and got out of the van and into the OTHER gray Caravan two spots down.
