a friend of mine bought himself a s13 running the CA18DET... now he will rebuild the engine, and needs the following parts:

Forged Pistons 83,5 or 84mm oversizeForged Con RodsMetal Head Gasket 1,6mmHead Studs

i have been looking around for a while, but simply cant find anything.... all the time only this stupid SR20.... TOMEI seems very expensive, and on takakahira.com i cannot find anything....

maybe a few links would be great...

thanks,

nico

I just got my Cometic head gasket for 108.00 shipped. ARP also carries headstuds, got mine for 112.00. Greddy sells their GREX pistons and rods, but kinda pricey. I think Arias might carry pistons also but not sure.

CP Pistons - 83 or 83.5mm, Raceeng.comCometic Headgasket, or order an HKS or Greddy gasket from TakakairaARP headstuds are on ebay all the time for the CARaretrick sells Tomei Connecting Rods, but they're hella expensive. A better idea would just to have the stock rods shotpeened. That shouldnt cost very much at all. You'll want new rod bearings as well, which can be picked up at Autozone or whatever your local parts store is. There is also a new set of ACL bearings on ebay at the moment.

Yeah, I don't think they have an Autozone in Austria.

I was just gonna say, I don't know how much trouble he's gonna have getting companies to ship internationally. The places listed above are accurate though.

thanks for the info guys

shame that con rods are soo expensive... isnt there a set of pistons & rods available for the CA at a more reasonable price? i remember a while ago, there was such a set on ebay (yet again) for the SR...

shipping to austria worked out very well for my RB swap into my s13, but customs are simply a killer... do they also put a 25% import tax on SHIPPING COSTS in America? i had to pay around 300 bucks only on the shipping costs of my engine ...

thanks again guys
