I'm looking for an electrical/computer component that unfortunately most salvage yards do not deal with, as they only concern theirselves with mechanical parts.

The part I need is called a Smart Entrance Control Unit, and is located directly underneath the steering column on the right. I have attached some diagrams and some crappy cell-phone pics that show what I'm talking about.

The part is white in color, and has 3 connections as shown in the 5th pic. If anyone knows of somewhere else I can look as well, please let me know.

Thank you.

Just wanting to understand you clearer...do you need a certain length of wire/connectors to the piece itself?

No, Sorry. I just need the board (White Unit) itself.

All of my wiring is fine, but I think some moisture or something got into the board while I was away working this past winter and I guess when I came back a part of the board burned out.

I took it apart and there was a section burned to a crisp, which was causing my battery to drain overnights. I (My father) re-soldered some relays to bypass that part of the board, and now it doesn't drain.

However my trunk pop doesn't work, and my interior lights only work when they feel like it. It's not like I am in dire need for this part, but it is definately an inconvienience.

So yeah......Just the board......

I just bought one of those from a parts.com type of place. It was $50 shipped. I searched ebay for months with no success. There's remote entry modules all over ebay, but none for an 01-03 model Maxima or I35. Your best bet I think would be parts.com or infinitiparts.com. They're the cheapest.
