Hey guys, my videocameras have kicked the bucket.

I have 10 Hi-8 tapes and 25 Mini-dv tapes I need put onto dvd, nothing fancy.

The cheapest price I have found on them is $11.50 a tape.

Anyone have any ideas?

Well for about $100 you can capture anything forever.

Pinnacle Video Transfer:http://www.pinnaclesys.com/Pub...r.htm

IDK about putting it straight to DVD, you will need to do some of the work but is your time worth more then $XXX ?

35*$11.50 = $402.50 $402.50 - (Price of transfer unit and DVD discs) = $XXX

Herein lies the issues... the cameras are broken, I have nothing to play them from to hook it to that.

In addition, I am not paying for this... My best friend from HS wants a copy of all the cool stuff we did back then, and he will be paying for the copies lol.

I have a portable HD which i can send away, and id take the video on the HD or DVDs...
