knocking/thumping noise from rear

Hi, I've owned a Sentra ('06) for about a year now and just recently a knocking/thumping noise has started. When I step on the brake, I can hear a loud knocking/thumping (sorta like beating on a drum). I've taken it to the dealership and that can't figure out what is causing the noise. Does anyone else have this problem or know what the cause is?

I would suggest a brake issue. Have you had the rear brakes replaced? Rotor maybe "warped".
