Hey guys..

For the last year or so, I've been stalling on replacing what I thought was a bad wheel bearing. I had a very annoying squeak from the drivers side rear wheel area. Basically because I only put on a thousand miles a year on the car...

Anyhow.. the other day I hit some train tracks and noticed shortly after that the squeak was replaced by a knocking or clunking sound.

I took the car out of the garage yesterday and by the end of the street decided I better put it back in the garage.. The clunking sound is pretty bad... only on deceleration though.. It don't hear it all when I accelerate.

Is this the sound of a blown differential? That's the only thing I can figure out from searching the forums..

Any tips?

It's a R32 LSD unit.

Nevermind..

I decided to take the rear wheel off to investigate and I found that I had not one but TWO wheel studs completely sheered off.. Not sure how I managed that.. but I'm lucky I didn't lose another and then consequently the whole wheel..

thanks
