Knocking noise...help

I was at a friends house and i started up my car. My friend asked me what that knocknig noise was and he said it was coming from my engine. Its wierd because when i drive its its fine...only when it is at idle that knocking noise comes back. waht can this be?

o yea..and its a 95 240sx with 120000 miles (if that matters)

Does it sound like you're shaking a can of spray paint?

If so, it's more than likely your upper timing chain guides. You can do a search on how to fix it.(You just remove the two guides) It should take less than an hour.
