Knocking noise '89 240sx

I have a knocking noise coming from my engine everytime i run the car. and i believe its the lifters doin the damage. or valves.

I was wondering if anyone here has had this experience and what they have done to correct it and how much $$

hate to hear that. I'm no veteran here but I'm sure someone will reply and tell you to use the red search button at the top of the page. I agree, you should becasue I'm sure someone has encountered that problem and there is an answer out there somewhere.
