Knocking From inside valve cover + plus transmission?

As the title says, theres a knocking sound from inside the valve cover.

I drive a 5-speed 93 RPS13 KA24DE.

I made a search but im really considering is that it may be the timing chain rattle since that is common. (not sure)

Its makes the sound when in idle, when driving i dont hear it , only when im at a stop sign or light that it starts knocking.

I opened up the hood and tried to pinpoint where the noise is coming from, its coming from the front of the engine.

The car drives and performs fine.

I also have another problem.

When driving in 1st or 2nd and let go of the gas i hear a grinding sound and the car sort of bounces.

But when in 3rd, 4th, or 5th and drive the let go of the gas it doesnt do it.

Just wanna get some opinions.

does it do it on startup? Sounds more like lifter tick to me..

Remove the valve cover and start the motor(no dont really do that)

btw i dont think you have an "RPS13" lol, RMS13 maybe?

yea it does it when i start up the car.

yeah, if its comming from the front of the motor. I would do the timing chain fix and see if that does it. mine is doing the same but i blame it on timing chain. When you first start the motor does it really sound like poop? and then calm down a little.

My car does what you are saying... it makes a really loud rattle when it's cold then it stops. I was thinking of changing my Tensioner.

I drive to and from school everyday it doesnt give me a problem, just that knocking sounds seems to be a cry for help. haha

Just if i drive for about 5 min then let it idle the sound comes up.

Could it be the cams?
