Knock/Thumping when turning

I bought a brand new '08 Versa back in November. Love it to death. But over the past month or so I notice when I driving slow (parking garage speeds) and turn right, I feel a slight knock or thump in my steering wheel and it feels like it is coming from my left wheel (don't ask me how...I just sense it...could be wrong). Wondering if anyone else has noticed this or if I have a possible bigger CV issue.

I had this exact same problem. Went back to the dealer, they replaced the "electronic steering column." That was a couple of months ago, and I noticed the problem again this weekend, so I'll be going back. I'd say to back to the dealer. And if you do, report back here with your findings. I'll do the same.

By the way, I have an '07 (that's exactly a year old as of this weekend), so if this is a more widespread problem it obviously did not end with the new model year.

Yeah... take it in immediately. CodeRed had a noise coming from his steering column that the dealership tried multiple times to repair. He ended up sending the car back to Nissan as a lemon and got a brand new one because they couldn't seem to fix it.

Start now before your warranty expires... make sure you bring it to them everytime it's acting up. It seems like more and more people are posting this problem lately, but I still haven't experienced it myself.

Well, I guess it's good I'm not the only one. heh heh. I was hoping not to have to go to the dealer since it's always a pain but I'll be taking it in in a couple of weeks then.

Fore sure bring it in!!!! I had to go through countless dealership visits to only file for lemon laws. Good thing is I won. Bad thing is my 1 month old car is still in the shop

It could be worse... you could have a 1 year old car that is in the shop.

Well, a 3 month old car in the shop could be worse. lol. I travel alot for my work so I made a service appointment for March 1st. My next free Saturday.

The funny thing is, after work I was doing circles with my head out the window in my work's parking garage (alot of people looking at me funny) trying to reproduce what I've noticed for the past month. OF COURSE now I can't MAKE it happen. It just has to do it when it feels like it. I spoke with CodeRed and his problem was different than what I'm experiencing. I do feel it is something with my CV Joints but not thinking they are going bad. Just seems like they are binding. I can't hear any clicking or popping. It is just a slight "bump bump bump bump" that I can feel through my steering wheel and only when I'm turning right. I've never felt it while turning left.

I HATE INTERMITTANT ISSUES. Make me want to punch babies. Ok, I don't mean that but you understand. lol
