Since NICO has a Factory service manual for a FREE download as do other sites. We expect people to download and spend a few weeks reading and studying diagrams,

Detonation [knock] sensors on a V config engine are almost always in the V or valley bolted to each cylinder head as shown by dozens of diagrams in FSM.

You must change sub harness also.

If you read some posts, most of them in IOM, some have gotten to them by removing the alternator. Best is to pull the plenum, clean it, the lower runners, EGR and IAC valves, the EGR tube within the plenum and the TB.

IoS has a 10% off their already 25% discount this month, so dial them up and get some filters and gaskets.

Plugs and VC gaskets are a lot easier to replace with the plenum off also.

Welcome to NICO.

And no more double posting either, please!

I have changed the knock sensors on 3 97+ Q45's and none of them needed a new wiring harness. Wiring was supple and easily removed-save your money.

I also disagree with pulling plenum-waste of time and money.
