Hello,

I have a 1991 Q45 with about 160,000 k and just recently had a friend replace all 8 injectors (aftermarket) and the car runs and idols much better. The car bogs down when you accelerate too much. I know something else is wrong because this car was a rocket back in it's day.
I did NOT change the KS and now I feel like that might be my problem. When I try to OHM test them I get NO reading from them at all.
Is there a chance that something was left unplugged from the injector replacement which would keep the KS from producing any results on the OHM test?
Any help or ideas would greatly be apprciated.

Thanks,
adsldrew

Welcome to NICO!

It's possible, but they also read open when they (or their subharness) fails.

Or your test proceedure is faulty. Remember one side of KS is grounded thru engine block, so measurethe correct terminal on harness andthe otheron the the engine.

The other terminal on harness is a SHIELD which has zero continuity to KS.

Thanks for the information!

I will check to make sure that my procedure was done correctly. I will report back after retesting.

I also just wanted to say thanks for this awesome forum! I have been a member here for about 4 years and until yesterday I never posted a question... not because I did not have any but because I search and read a lot. (and usually find what I am looking for without posting)

So, thanks Nicoclub and great members for all you do!

KS usually dont cause that kind of issues... I would check your fuel pump and make sure that is working properly..
