Hi gents!

I recently underwent the knock sensor replacement adventure on my 2000 Q45. The thing is that trouble code P0325 came back on! (same that was on prior) and I don't really know where to go from here. I also replaced the Sensor harness.

The one thing I can think of is that the car sat for over 6 months (I know.....I had a spar :P) and maybe the octane of fuel dropped enough to cause it to knock (would both sensors go off?).

I maybe had not reset the properly (don't remember) but the battery was disconnected for a long time.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Setting there for a long time might not be it, because when I picked up mine I was told it was setting there for over 10 years as the tires were flat which I have bring a pump (bicycle hand pump lol) and out of round even after I later pumped them up at the gas station. But, as I put a new battery in after fixing all the rodent damages in the engine bay, it starts right up. Of course the first thing I did was getting some fresh gas.

Low octane fuel and knock will not cause the code... it's a resistance self-check from the ECU to the sensors at startup. I would start by checking the resistance with an ohm meter to see if you're seeing the correct resistance. Procedure is in the FSM - www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

Thanks for the info.

I'll update once I figure out what's going on.

I agree with Heath, if you replaced the sensor with new it would seem you have a funky connection somewhere.
