your knock sensor wire is in the upper engine harness.

you do not have to run a wire and splice it into one coming out of your ecu.

the wire coming out of the ecu already goes to the engine bay, to where the battery is.

why would you splice into a wire that already goes where you need it to be and have 2 wires?

You got me. I assumed people knew this and were doing it. That's how I had mine hooked up when I did it.

i agree, so what you need to do is find a shielded wire that has continuity when the key is in the run position and then you splice in your knock sensor wire using SHIELDED wire from either your ka or any other source just make sure the wire is SHIELDED
