Knock sensor wire

Can anyone tell me if this is the wire that I need to extend and hardwire to the ECU for the knock sensor?



Not the yellow one (that's for my fan), but there are a black and a white wire coming out the harness near the passenger fuse panel. It seems to be a sheilded sheath over the wires.

Do I just extend the white? What do I do with the black?
