Anyone? I have searched every local parts store for the 88 pulsar sensor and have had no luck finding one. Has anyone else bought a knock sensor?

no, it won't make it run rich. And you'll have to get a knock sensor from a Pulsar that had the 1.6L. But like I said, I doubt it's the knock sensor making you run rich. The knock sensor has no effect on fuel, only timing.

Why the one from the 1.6 litre? Shouldnt i use the one from the ca18de? That doesnt make sense.

yes bad knock sensor or bad connection/wiring on knock sensor will make the car run rich..knock sensor will retard the timming. which means that if there is a gas that cant be burned because of lack of timming.. yes it will be rich.
