What is the difference between a knock sensor from Autozone and one from Ebay besides the huge price difference? I know Ebay sells alotta knock offs but some parts can pass without problems. They both look identical under inspection, theres no obvious difference like most knock offs and both say they do the same thing and both say fit ka24de so why is one under $10 and one over$100?

A lot of that has to do with the brand name on the parts, when truth be told a lot of the cheaper "no name" parts are made in the same factory as the high dollar stuff. I bought all the sensors for my rebuild off rockauto...there you are offered a variety from cheap to expensive and can pick and choose what you'd like. Most of my sensors were from Standard motor products, a brand I've used in the past that isn't too expensive but has never let me down.

I'd just say use your judgement. If it seems too good to be true it probably is. With some less critical parts I'd use cheaper brands, but with internal components, sensors, gaskets etc. that you need to rely on I personally wouldn't go the cheap route.

When you spend extra on certain things you're not just getting the part, you're also buying the peace of mind that comes with knowing you dont need to worry about it failing.
