can somebody please explain to me what exactly the knock sensor does and how it reads. i have an afc2 and want to find out about this. <3

The knock sensor is attached to the cylinder block and senses engine knocking conditions. A knocking vibration from the cylinder block is applied as pressure is then converted to the piezoelectric element. This vibrational pressure is then converted into a voltage signal which is sent to the ECM.
