Knock Sensor!

Hey, Can I please have some help with how to get to my knock sensor? I've got the plenum off, but now I need to take the Intake mani off, and it seems to be connected to the Idler Pulley. Does this mean I have to loosen my Timing belt? is there any ways around this? Thanks

Which engine/car would this be on? It should be on the side of the block or under the intake manifold depending on the engine. Shouldn't be connected to the anything but the block, but with a specific vehicle/engine I can get better info for you.
