I was looking at the safc and my knock is up to 117. I was wondering how accurate the safc is and what I can do to find out if this is a problem.

It reads off your stock sensor which is crap... How does my car knock 65 while crusing but only 3 at boost?? Also in the upper range you'll have more knock shown due to faster movement. You have to get an aftermarket like msd if you really want to worry about it. Mind jumps up to 230 at some points... Bad motor mount can show up on the sensor because the engine is shaking...

With the readings that I have should I be able to notice something wrong? Would it throw a code?

The knock feature on the stock knock sensor / safc combo is utterly worthless. Do yourself a favor and stop looking at it.

is it just me or does the SAFC knock sensor remind you of those narrowband wideband gauges that make rainbows?

haha yes.. it's funny when you see a car with one mounted on the pillar pod, as it just sits there and bounces back and forth.

Yeah, it sucks for knock monitoring.

However, I will say this: Some of the features on the SAFC2 can be VERY helpful during calibration, such as the peak/hold function.
