So my knock sensor has fully taken a crap. Car has very laggy, flat spot between 2-3kHorrible gas mileage.

I did some research and found out that nissan knock sensor always crap out

I did found some article on using resistor ohms to trick out the ecu. Maxima requires 470k and xterra requires 570k ohms. I did not find an actual resistor to use for the sr20det. I have seen 500k, 600k. Also 1000k but no actual document.

So my question is what resistor should I used and how do I do it?Do I cut the wire pin27 (knock sensor) install a resistor and ground the other side?

I do not have money at the moment that is why I would like to use this method for the meanwhile.

Pin 27 on the s13 edu is the knock sensor. With the key on engine off or on idle and everything is hook up stock it read 2.5 volts. When u cut pin 27wire at the ecu that wire becomes 5volt at the ecu.

Next I performthe resistor trick using 1mega ohms (1,000,000 ohms). I cut the pin 27 wire (white) at the ecu about 6inch away from the ecu. Ran a groung wire from the body, solder the 1mega ohm resistor in between pin 27. Voltage become 3.2 volts when its done at idle.

Car now drives smoothly during light and heavy acceleration. (remember this is a temporary fix till I can afford new knock sensor and sub harness)
