Is there a trick to removing and replacing the knock sensor? I've tried to reach it from under the car, but the steering rack, oil filter, subframe and I don't know what else is in the way. I can just get a box end wrench on the bolt, but have no leverage to turn the wrench. Is there a way to replace this thing without removing the intake manifold and coming down from the top? :rotflmao

I forgot to mention that this is a 2000 Altima, if that makes a difference.

Nope! I spent an ungodly miserable several hours playing contortionist from underneath to get it off initially only to find once that was done that getting the new one back on was absolutely impossible without removing a number of seriously time consuming parts (intake manifold is one way). However, if you just take the loose pigtail connector and tuck it up out of the way somewhere it won't set off your CEL after a reset. It will throw the code for it if you check em but like I said your CEL at least won't stay on.
