I replaced the knock sensor on my 2004 g35 coupe. After putting everything back together my car won't start. I don't think I damaged anything so I'm not sure what's causing this it starts to crank but will not turnover. Any ideas.

Also seems to act like when you try to start a car with no gas in it or as if fuel wont ignite

Not too much to go on here... I would certainly go back and check all of your connections.

What does the odor smell like? Fuel indicates flooding. Sweet would be coolant. An acrid burning smell could be wiring burning...

it doesn't quite smell like gas and it's definitely not a burning odor. Someone told me today i could be flooded also, not sure how to fix that. If it is coolant what are some things I could try?

If you think it's flooded hold the gas pedal to the floor and crank the engine for 30-40 seconds and see if she'll start. With the pedal to the floor the ECU cuts off fuel flow.

I changed the spark plugs and was able to get to start. It stalls when I put into drive and I can't rev it past 2500 rpms also blowing white smoke from exhaust I don't know how I could have a blown head gasket because car was fine before I took it apart. If I flooded it with engine coolant will this go away?

I scanned the check engine light codes because after I got it to start the car was in limp mode came up P0113 and P0102 then i checked and seen I forgot to connect the sensor on the intake after the spark plug change. took it for a quick ride and seems ok thanks for the help and feed back on this

Amazing how critical all of those annoying plugs are... :D

Glad to hear you got it fixed!
